code20 eld car wont start
i was driving my civic the other day and under full throttle when i shifted to 2nd the car shut off and hasnt started since. its throwing code 20, i checked the sensor according to haynes manual with voltmeter everything checked good, i replaced under hood fuse box anyway with known working one. still just turns over and wont start. no fuses are blown. swapped out dizzy with known working one, nothing. saw where one of the ground wires was broken going to thermo housing n spliced it back together, still turns over and never starts. the guy i bought it from moved the battery to the trunk and when the battery goes dead jump starting doesnt work, dont know if its related to the problem. any other suggestions?

When you turn on the ign. to run, [not start] do you hear the fuel pump prime, [run for a few sec.]?
Have you checked to see if there is power, [12V+] at the injectors, [wire that is the same color at all 4 injectors should be 12V+ when ign. switch is in run and start]?
Have you checked for power, [12V+] to the distributor assembly, [black/yellow]?

94' is the year, fuel pump is priming injectors r getting fuel but it isnt getting spark thats y i changed dizzy but didnt help thats y im thinking the eld code is causing the ecu to cut out spark or something

i got the same issues....distributor burnt up becuz the ecu is bad...its not sending any power to the distributor... i replaced that eld mod and it did nothin. my lights flicker on starts and sometimes power fluctuations while driving. i replaced my alternator as well thinkin the voltage reg went bad still no changes. had my distributor replaced and it ran for about two years before it just went out last nite again i think( no spark died when i tried to leave a light). i have a post about this and am waitn for feedback. i think gruond or shorts are causing the ecu to mailfunction and its effin up the distributor. im gonna upgrade everything new wiring harness and hondata ecu lol im sick of the stock **** goin bad... help me out too if theres any techs outhere reading this...
