Iam having idle problems and vtec doesnt hit. The code Iam getting is p1259 fuel metering. Does anyone know what solenoid or device would send this code. I tried to clear it and after a few minutes it comes back so I figure it needs replacing.

 

Thats a code for the VTEC pressure switch, or solenoid valve circuts. not fuel metering.

 

were should I look first? could the sloenoid be out

 

there is a problem somewhere in that system/circut(s). youll have to start diagnosing it, do you have a test light or multimeter? start by checking all connections. there could be a problem with the wiring, with the switch, with the solenoid, with the ecu, ect....youll have to diangose it to narrow it down

ever find out this problem? i am also having this problem and my idle sucks too. Does yours drop wayyyy down? Mine does, but it has not once died.
