I CHECKED FOR CEL CODE TODAY.....I GOT A 8......TDC......NOW I NEED TO KNO WAT IT IS AND HOW TO FIX IT......

 

its a sensor in your distributor and unfortunately its not fixable so you need a new distributor.

SHOULD THE LIGHT GO ON ONCE THE CAR STARTS OR AFTER AWHILE?????????

 

i don't think the CEL comes on even while cranking if there are no codes.

Most codes clear themselves after several driving cycles. The CEL goes out but the code remains stored in memory.

 

i have a ls/vtec setup...b4 i hooked up the vtec i would get a CEL before i even turn the car on......so thats wat i meant.......now b4 for the CEL goes on the motor act kinda crazy....the rpms go fro 5000 to 8000 on pure idle......but after the CEL it act how it should

 

You can just replace the housing and keep the dizzy guts. Just swap them over.
You should be able to find a housing somewhere.
