Code 54 from an OBD1 computer??!?
So my saga continues... to clarify... I put a jdm B20B into a 99 d16y8 and running a stock P75 LS computer for now.. I have a P28 that is being repaired but got the same codes from that computer as well... the car continues to hiccup and stall during idle (i am getting this at idle only.. when the car is running under load it runs strong)... I'm getting a a Code 16, 18, and 54... from what I have been able to figure out Code 16 is a fuel injection code, code 18 is ignition timing (i think... not actually listed), and code 54 is CKF sensor...
In my other thread 92_civic suggested I look into the CKF bypass... but from what I have found out this should not be necessary with an OBD1 computer... when I went to check the harness the pins for the bypass on the OBD2 to OBD1 converter harness are missing the corresponding pins anyway...
so... why is my car giving me a Code 54 when it doesn't exist in OBD1???
This problem is driving me into the ground... I've checked the harness and resoldered what I thought could potentially be a problem (these connections are not related to the codes anyhow)... changed the IAC and MAP sensors on the TB (I have not touched the TPS yet)... this is driving me crazy!!!
help please!!

it's got to be something in the dizzy or the wiring to the dizzy, I tried pm'ing you earlier since I was at work and could have gotten you some trouble shooting info, email me at joe@ondemandperformance.com and I'll try to continue to help you through this, or pm me through the site if I am online
also have you tried an obd2 ecu to see what your getting for codes? even if you use your stock ex ecu and disregard the vtec and ckf codes it may help determine where this problem lies
what engine harness are you using and what conversion harness, what dizzy and did you do any wiring yourself?
