Default CODE 41: Primary oxygen sensor heater

car is throwing a code for primary oxygen sensor heater (code 41). is that the same as a oxygen sensor? if so, shouldnt be a code 61 which is oxygen sensor? can anyone clarify

The heater filliment in your O2 sensor is bad. You will need a new O2 sensor, but your car will be drivable till then.

Exactly right. Just need a new sensor. But its not hurting the motor now to run it like it is.

You should measure the O2 heater resistance to make sure it's actually blown before buying a new one though.
