Default code 41 with p30 and not p28?

just put in the p30 tonight, instant cel when car is started.....code 41 o2 sensor heater.....i didn't get the cel with my chipped p28. why is this one different???

set up - 92 cx, b16a2, 98 gsr engine harness, and now p30 ecu

car runs fine, pulls good, egt temps stay the same, why the code 41 on this ecu?

its possible if it had a program on the chipped p28 it didnt read o2 (open loop all the time)..(like the mugen)..and the o2 couldve been bad the whole time...so at closed loop the p30 ecu is reading the bad o2...

thats funny you say that.....it a mugen chip guess i'll swap the ecu into another car to see if it is good, then probably end up replacing O2 sensor.....cuz the car the p30 came out of had no cel.

anyway to test O2 sensor? or do i need a scanner thing, and how does that work on a swap cuz we have a snap-on one that goes by vin # and i doubt that the scanner will list the 00 b16a under the 92 cx.

You can test yer O2 with an ohmeter, but I forgot what they're supposed to read, and I'm too lazy to go look. Infinite resistance or 0 would be bad though.

I tested it by buying a new one - $68 and still code 41 O2 sensor heater, i also checked my wiring from the O2 sensor plug to the plug on the ecu, all is good there as well. car idles funny with this ecu also. I guess i got a bunk ecu?

Probably is a bad ECU, my friend had the same problem. He swapped his ECU and no more code.
