i have a jdm h22 in a 93 cx.. one night the check engine light comes on and i cant rev past 3.5, so i check the CEL and it throws code for.. i pull off the dizzy and check it to make sure everything was fine... all goes well when i put the dizzy back on and try to start my car it back fires, so i take it off spend the rotor 180 degrees, it starts but wont rev past 3.5 and it putters while reving.. it still throws code for... is it the dizzy or loose wiring? any help will be greatly appreciated!

Your Crank angle sensor is inside the distributor I had this problem before on my B16 you can't goto honda and buy the sensor unless you have another one laying around. This is probably the last thing you want to do buy a new distributor it just sucks when that sensor goes bad acts just like a rev limiter

ok i fix'ed that crank angle problem.. but now my **** sounds like a harley davidson.. the car seems to be mis firing i dont know why yet.. i replaced the cap and rotor, spark plugs. i was wondering if timing could cause a problem? and one more thing.. wut cap could i use on the jdm h22's?

 

Have any water down inside the spark plug wire holes, in the valve cover??

 

not really sure on that one.. i might because my car was overheating b4 this problem happended.. the car starts, revs up rought and dies when i try to let it idle
