Code 17 Help!
1993 Civic HB w/LSVTEC swap and B16 Trans.
I know its a vehicle speed sensor code but it's really strange...
Problem: Found speedometer wires were crimped together. I guess i was cut off from last owner? Well i pulled the harness out to solder and shrink wrap it the right way. Put the harness back in and turned on the car with a tool i made at work to check DTC's. Code 17 was still there but i forgot to reset the computer. Pulled out the back up fuse and ecm fuse under hood for about 20 seconds to reset it. Turned car back on and it was blinking "10" which is IAT code?
So yay i thought it was gone! Started the car up warmed it up, drove it, hit 4800rpms+ (OBD1 GSR Computer) and no vtak... So i reset the computer again to make sure. Found out that it'l blink "10" when i just power on the car but when i start the car it instantly starts blinking "17" which is strange.
What I have done already:
1. Swapped out gauge cluster with with known good one.
2. Swapped out ECM with known good ECM.
3. Swapped out VSS with known good VSS.
4. Tested resistance from VSS Yellow/Blue wire to left side tower harness.
5. Tested resistance from VSS Yellow/White wire to left side tower harness.
6. Fuse 15 is OK
Should I check voltage somewhere or what?! Im pretty stumped right now guys.. i feel like there is a break in the harness somewhere.
