Default Code 1 - help?

I've got a D16Y8 running off a p28 ecu in my 89 CRX Si.

It's been idling really rough lately, but still runs strong (ran a 15.3 on friday). I was driving home from college today and my p28 threw a code 1, which translates to Oxygen content (it's great to have the code sheet in my car). I reset the ecu by unplugging the hazard fuse, and it went away.

Anyways, is it likely the 02 sensor is hooped, which would make the car idle rough? Sometimes the ECU seems to compensate the lousy idle, and it kicks up to normal for a few seconds.

Are 92-95 02 sensors the same as 96-2000? I realize that they are OBD-I and OBD-II, but they are both 4 wire, and it is likely the 92-95 is cheaper. Plus I'm running a p28 anyways. Would the 92-95 clip on the 96+ harness plug?

ya, the o2 sensors are the same being a 4 wire o2 sensor.
