Default Clutch wont disengage?

Im looking for a few suggestions on solving my problem.

the cars a 2001 integra with b18 and turbo kit. The clutch is ACT 6 puck unsprung with act extreme pressure plate. I had purchased a new disc to replace my somewhat worn out on. When we removed the tranny and pressure plate, i noticed that there was more wear on the pressure plate and flywheel then i expected. The disc itself was almost gone. I had the flywheel machined to specs, and had the pressure plate smoothed out.

We put it all back together, started the car, went to move it and it wont go in any gear while cars running. Its like the clutch wont disengage. Theres also a creaking noise when the clutch pedal is pushed to the floor.

The master cylinder was leaking, so i replaced it. had it bled, and still same problem. The shift fork does move side to side.

So any suggestions?

SYMPTOMS:
Cars OFF goes in all gear
Cars on, will only go in neutral
small creaking noise when clutch is pushed to the floor

Tried:
Different flywheel
New master cylinder
Bleed clutch

my next step is going to be to try a stock pressure plate with the 6 puck and see if thats the problem before i spend 350 on a pressure plate.

When you say, "shift fork" do you mean release bearing fork?

If not, does the release bearing fork move it's full "throw" when stepping on clutch peddle? 94

Yes the release fork. sorry

it does move, but im thinking its not moving enough to release the clutch.

i was reading that a washer can be put on the release fork pivot ball...

Also when the pressure plate and disc was installed, it seemed to me the pressure plate forks where pressed inwards a lot more then before. they are almost flat

I allways replace the clutch and pressure plate as a unit.

If the PP fingures are flat that could be the problem. I don't understand why they would be flat, other then some broken springs inside the PP.

I have not looked that closely at an old one.

Oh i agree with changing both. when i first ordered just the disc, my clutch and pressure plate was still good. But it took so long to come in that my other one just got worse.

all the pressure plate forks are sunk below the actual pressure plate. usually they should be up like a pyramid?

will a stock pressure plate hurt anything while i wait for a new ACT pressure plate?

I had a similar problem when I replaced my clutch/transmission a couple years ago. I was able to solve the issue by adjusting the pedal/mc under the dash. You'll need to lengthen the pivot point on the rod little by little to find the correct engagement point. I would assume its off because you machined the flywheel.

Ill give that a shot tonight.

ill check the slave cylinder see if its leaking at all.

I saw people sometimes adding a washer behind the pivot ball for the shift fork so it brings the fork closer

Interesting. I just encountered the same problem yesterday with RSX S with new comp clutch kit. I replaced the slave with new OEM unit about a year ago so I don't think slave is the issue. Looked at it and it moves outward and stays there as long as you have your foot on the pedal(no sinking)Adjusted the master push rod to make it go into gear, but now the pedal feels like poo poo. Gear engagement before new clutch was butter smooth, but the clutch slipped very badly. Am getting new to me(used) aka known good master off a buddy's junk type s tommorrow. Oh yeah bled the system just for giggles- no difference. THere is a known problem with these masters, but usually they are just noisey/ ratchety. Will see tommorrow evening.

so bled the system, again.
adjusted the push rod on the MC all the way

no go

slave was leaking a little, but it would still move the fork

so quick update.

Changed slave cylinder, put stock pressure plate, new disc, stock flywheel. Bleed the clutch.

Car starts, and it would go in all gears 2-4 times then it wouldnt go in any gear. I could shut the car off, start it and would go in all gears for few moments.

Is the ACT disc too thick?

same part number as before

Check how well the clutch system is holding pressure. Pump up and push in the clutch, then measure where the release fork is. Hold it in awhile and re-measure to see if the fork moved. Also try pumping the clutch pedal a few times before holding it in and shifting when the problem occurs. Post your findings.

Im heading up to the shop today to check it out. mechanic helping me was saying the flywheel step needs to be machined down. I cant see why, since ACT is made to work with stock .112 flywheel step.
