I finished up my GSR swap in the Del Sol and at the same time I replaced many things. As for the tranny I went ahead and had the flywheel resurfaced and installed a new complete Competition Clutch kit. Drove the car for about 10 miles and it drove great. The only thing I did not like was the clutch disengaging right off the floor board. Now I cant disengage it at all. I tried adjusting the pedal....nothing. Bought new slave and master cylinder...same. I have bled multiple times. I think I can see what the problem is, and that is that the slave is only moving the release fork 1/4 inch. The release fork sits in the middle like its supposed to as well. If I could get another inch out of it I would be golden. Is removing tranny my only option left?
did u lube the shaft??? maybe the clutch doesent slide out... could also be the forks bent somehow or the pivit point is worn out....

fork is good and pedal is perfect. Could the flywheel have been stepped wrong? Could the brand new pressure plate be faulty?

i say let the car run for a while the clutch may not be slidding off the shaft because u did not lube it properly or something. Most of the time the vibrations from the motors will losing it up some.

Did you check it? It's supposed to be .065" if I remember right.

This is going to sound crazy, but...
I was having the same problems. I replaced the master/slave cylinders, bled the lines over and over again, adjusted the pedal, dropped the trans two different times to replaced the pilot/throw-out bearings and re-torque the clutch plate...
I did everything. Nothing worked. Until... I drained the trans fluid and re-filled with syncromesh. The problem went away instantly.
Don't ask me why/how it worked. I also ended up using much less than the service manual called for. I remember filling the trans up to the capacity listed in the helms, but then I opened the over-flow bolt and about half the fluid poured back out (on level ground). That was also a bit of a mystery, but I've been running like that for 6 months now and it shifts like butter.

Its got Synchromesh in it right now. I can visually see the release fork only moving 1/4 inch. Can someone please take a pic of the slave and fork with their clutch pedal pressed all the way in.

Well I dropped the tranny and I found nothing. PP and disc look fine, as does the flywheel. Also the throw out bearing and release fork seem to be in good condition. I'm starting to think i just got a bad brand new pressure plate??? I might throw in a good used stock clutch kit I have to find out.
