Clutch pedal vibration
Hi everyone - I searched and read a lot, but none of the threads (to the best of my knowledge) describes what I'm experiencing.
94 Del Sol Si. When I press the clutch pedal ALL THE WAY IN (or at least 90-95% in), I can feel a vibration on the pedal. If I let it out and go to about 80% in, vibration is gone. Shifting through the gears, every time I press the pedal, I can feel vibration. At idle, I can feel vibration if I press it in to shift into first.
The car shifts fine. Clutch engages and releases fine. But this vibration is annoying the hell out of me...
Any ideas? Thanks in advance! :0)

Re: Clutch pedal vibration
sounds like a failing clutch. i would replace it. i have a 94 del sol VTEC and i changed the clutch and this problem went away.
could also be failing master/slave cylinder on the clutch. when i took my clutch apart, i found a part of the oem clutch had sheared off and was loose in the compartment with clutch bouncing around.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll start with replacing the master/slave cylinder. Then we'll see where that leads. <:0)

Re: Clutch pedal vibration
I'm doing more reading as I type. I'm going to look at both cylinders for leaks or other out-of-place visual cues. If there's nothing unusual, seemingly, then I'll think about clutch replacement.
At least the master and slave cylinders are out in the open for visual inspection... how would I go about inspecting the clutch without opening up the tranny?
