Clutch troubleshooting help
Today, all of a sudden, when i press the clutch pedal down, i'd say 2/3 of the way down it makes a small clicking...or popping sound/feeling ...the tranny shifts fine, nothing grinds, no sound out of the ordinary...even when the car is in neutral and i just push the pedal in and out, every other depression pop/clicks ...
any ideas?
any ideas?
heres my .02
pull the slave cylinder off and make sure its greased good. if its not go to honda get high temp urea grease its like 8$ for this little *** can. lasts a LONG time tho. if that fixes the problem your good to go.
if that dosent fix the clicking your probably gonna need to drop the tranny and regrease the shift fork and release bearing. =/ but before you go that far, live with the noise if its not that bad. thats alot of work.
if anyone else has any ideas please speak up

it's possible that it could be your clutch spring... i had a few problems with mine (squeaking and popping) and my father had a similar problem on his 95 Prelude VTEC... Honda replaced my clutch spring 3 times under warranty in 97 and 98, but since then, i really haven't had a problem...
