clutch problems...non honda..
i just bought a daily driver so i wouldn't have to drive my weekend car any more. and today i was driving around and i go to stop but 2nd gear wont disengage. and my car dies..i force it into neutral, start it back up and go to put it in first with the clutch to the floor and it grinds..i pump the pedal and i feel that im getting more pressure. and it drives fine. but i have to keep doing that to get in the next gear...
what could be wrong?

would that basically be my brake master cylinder? and the little one to the right of it be my slave?

that i do know now. i bleed the system today and it is still doing it. no leaks from the master cylinder at all. fluid is topped off.
slave cylinder?

master cylinders can leak internally and often times leak inside the car, meaning that it is on the inside of the firewall. it could also be in the pedal assembly make sure the pedal is operating correctly and the rod that pushes on the master cylinder is lined up properly. the most extreme cases which can sometimes happen is that the master cylinder (assuming the car has well over 100k miles) tears the firewall and in reality is just flexing back and force to make you think it is the clutch. just make sure you check EVERYTHING before tearing the trans out

1. i dont have to tear the tranny out.
2. the car has 207k miles
3. i haven't checked the assembly of it yet.
