sounds like your relaease bearing or realease fork arent working in sync. can you put in gear while the car is off? If so put it in gear and turn it on while its in gear. If it stays then the fork/bearing arent connected properly or your slave isnt bled all the way. Grab a buddy or a properly placed mirror and see if the fork is moving in and out when you press the clutch pedal. Also stick your hand around in the fork opening to see if there is play, while the car is off of course.

cool. The slave went out on me one time when i was in my old EH2. But it went when i was driving and i had to turn the car off and start it in gear. Then either shift like a man with no clutch or turn it off and put it in gear. i had to do this for 4 miles lol.

I'm having the exact same problem as we speak. I was about to replace the slave cylinder. The car can go in gear perfect when the car is off. You can start the car in gear, but if the car is neutral and you start the car, the car would not go in gear. Bump for an answer.

ok my brother in law has a borascope and he said that the throw out bearing was not big enough. with the pedal all the way to the floor the throw out bearing was just beginning to touch the pressure plate. im gonna call the people tomorrow and see if a different sized bearing was supposed to come with it.

it just doesnt make sense though!!!!

i took it back out and bolted it together on the floor along with my old one and they measured the same but the fingers on the (new) pressure plate were not all evenly flat there were two that were lower and just werent all the same like they should be (the old one was fine i may have to put it back in so i can have something to drive) so ive got all wrapped back up and first thing monday mornin im callin them and tellin them im sending their crap back to them, and to send me one that works ive done all i can on my part it cant be my fault. so hopefully ill be gettin a new one by the end of the week. ill post how it goes.

My car wont go into gear either! It shifts fine when the car is off, but if i start the car in neutral it wont go into gear. If i start it in gear it just jumps forward.. it wont let me take it back out of gear so i have to shut the car off and kind of pull pretty hard to get it back into neutral? Bump for any help at all? I was about to order a new clutch today but didnt want to if thats not what i needed?

ok i talked to the company and the guy told me the best he could do is to ship the pressure plate back and as soon as he gets it he will send me a new one (instead of sending it to the manufacturer to make sure its defective)

so i shipped it (the pressure plate only) back to them today in the mean time i guess ill put my old one back on so i can have my car running again
