Default clutch noise

i have a 2001 5th gen lude. when i let off the clutch it is making a brushing (best word i can describe it with) noise. it's not loud, but i'm worried, cause i already had a clutch spring break and eat up the trans. i took it to the shop and he said the throw out bearing was just making a little noise, not to worry about it. this is the dealership's shop where the trans was fixed last time. it's under warranty, so i just take it there for now. if i press the clutch in, the noise goes away. clutch does not seem to slip, but sometimes the noise gets worse, almost sounds like a light rapid chirping. as soon as i let the clutch out it makes a little click and the brushing noise starts again. if it is the t/o bearing, should it do that, and how urgent does this sound?? sorry, first time poster. any help appreciated. oh, CAI and +1 mm valves only mods for now. stock tranny

if its a clutch master they tend to make that noise... i have a CM stage 4 for a good 3 yrs and it always made that noise and its not something to be concerned with that is if its a CM.

no stock clutch. it was replaced under warranty. well i had to pay for the clutch. the new gearset, synchros, labor was all covered. does anyone know if the stock clutch ordered straight from honda would come with a new TOB? i never got to see it

I got a buddy at a local honda dealership and when my car got stolen i had them get me a new clutch....Don't ask lol and yeah it came with a new TOB but i can't say for sure whether he did that or it came that way. but i can say i think it would be absolutely retarded if it didn't. Especially from the dealer and another thing you'd be surpised the different kinds of noises a clutch/TOB could make depending on the speed that its going.

i'm just trying to figure if i should push the dealership to check it out or not. i'm sure they're not exited about tearing apart a trans they won't get paid for (warranty) but i don't want it to mess up the clutch and have to pay myself. should i be worried about any noise from it? or just a really bad noise? I'll have the dealership pull my paperwork and see if they got a new TOB too

If the noise goes away when you push the clutch in its most likely the throw out bearing. Its not really something to stress about but you should get it fixed if its under warrenty

well i work at an acura dealership. most of the time when we replace clutch we also replace the t.o bearing, pilot too. depends on the dealership. the technician should have checked it out when he replaced the clutch. if it's still under warranty you have to push them to look at it. it most like the t.o bearing. if you really wanted to know you should ask them if they really indeed changed the t.o bearing. if not then ask them to replace it. they should have checked it out themselves before putting evrything back together. it's not your fault the fucked up.

i think its the TOB, or it could be the pressure plate becomming weak. but you just got it replaced.

i had another place listen and honda again too. they said its the TOB, but that it sounds like that b/c i put the syunchromesh in. i did'nt know it can make noise, but other people i know have said this too. everyone says i'm ok, but thanks to all anyway. if it gets worse, i will make honda fix it.. warranties are a beautiful thing
