clutch grabs really high (at the top)????
hey have an 01 built gsr, since the day i bought the car the clutch grabbed really high so i thought maybe the clutch was gone. so i swapped it with an exedy stage 1, and still the same problem, then i built the motor and currently has a competition stage 2 clutch and the same damn problem, clutch has been properly blead many times and at first it grabs lower but ill take it for a spin come back after about 5 min and its high again. my next step might be to replace the clutch master cylinder maybe thats the problem? clutch fluid is also clean and never low im really confused and any help would be great thanks
I had the same issue with my 94 jeep Cherokee and now have bought a 94 Accord where the pedal grabs very high. It sounds to me that it would be the clutch master cylinder AND the slave cylinder. If the gears are not slipping and just the pedal grabs high, it is usually the master cylinder but when you do change the master cylinder ALWAYS change out the slave cylinder as well because usually the slave cylinder is bad as well but if you just change the master cylinder, the slave cylinder will usually go bad if it wasn't already. I replaced just the master cylinder on my Jeep about 4 times before I realized that this is a package deal. My 94 Accord is exhibiting the same issues where the pedal grabs high and I got it cheap because the owner believed that the transmission was going bad but it is probably just the master cylinder and the slave cylinder, which is only about 40 dollars for this year and it cant be too much more for newer years. It is always good to change the clutch assembly as well, which luckily I already have one under warranty. Good luck but always start easy before going for major repairs first.
Just adjust the clutch pedal. Easy fix.
Edit; Damn noob. Bumping a 3 year old thread. I think he isn't concerned about the problem at this point.

I am terribly sorry about that but I didn't look at the dates. I will have to keep an eye on that. Sorry was looking for the same issues that my 1994 accord has and that post came up.
