Clutch engagement point
I have a 97 Prelude sh and recently had the clutch replaced at 108k miles. The engagement point of the clutch was about 2" from being fully released. Although the clutch didn't seem to be slipping, I had it replaced since it had a lot of miles on it and I plan to put many more miles on.
Immediately after the clutch was installed, the clutch would begin to grab after the pedal was let out about 1" - close to what i feel is normal. I put about 200 city miles and 200 highway on the clutch before any hard driving. However, the new clutch only has about 2500 miles on it now, and the engagement point has been moving farther out, almost to the point where it was before the clutch was replaced. The clutch doesn't even begin to grab until the pedal is let out about 60-70% from the floor, and engages about 2" from being fully released.
Since this has happened, it's more difficult to smoothly shift. The reason being, the "engagement area" as I'll call it - the distance of pedal travel between where the clutch begins to grab and when it is fully engaged - is smaller than I feel it should be.
Any ideas?

I had that problem with my old car when I had a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch put in. People have had a lot of problems with that clutch. I don't like Centerforce anymore.
