Default clutch engagement

After installing new flywheel and clutch, my clutch engages about 1 inch off the floor and is immediate. At a red light I have to rev up because its like dropping the clutch, theres no in between. Doesnt grind and goes in fine just takes the gear too easily. Also the info that came with the clutch said 750 mi breakin period. Is this nessessary with a hydraulic clutch

yes the break in period is necessary unless you want to replace the clutch again.

theres a way to adjust the engagement but im feeling way too out of it right now because of my prescription drugs.
