Default Another question...

Another question...
The tech who put the clutch in said he has never seen a clutch that worn as mine . My car only has roughly 40000 miles on it. I am not the first owner so I don't know how much abuse it took before me. It's my daily car and I am not a psycho driving .. of course I will hit it off the line once in a while but nothing rediculous.

What are the best ways to preserve your clutch? Should I not downshift from high speeds/RPM's? (To slow down, not to accelerate). What are some things to remember so I don't burn this one out ...

(I am new to this game )

if you want the best way to preserve your clutch in my opinion you should just buy a oem clutch unless your pushing more then 190 to the wheels...oem man...<< just my opinion

I have a CM stage3 in my B16. I like it. It isn't hard on my left leg, even in traffic.

Well I got the new clutch in and it's hard as **** to drive. Is this the break in procedure, or is it going to stay this difficult?

Also, how long is the break in time?

Well I've been driving the stock clutch for 9 months now and with the performance clutch it is just super tight and engages MUCH quicker then the OEM.

Now, once I can drive fast and have some fun, this will be great. But for this break in period it is very hard to get the car to drive slow without bunny hoppin
(and yes, I am an experienced stick driver)

Right because the stock disc squishes a bit. Most aftermarket ones don't so engagement is not as progressive.
