Clutch is already gone...
Ok i have a stock ITR and got a 6 puck clutch installed 2 1/2 months ago. I went to the track last friday and ran about 6 times. Then after that i kept missing 2nd and 3rd gear. I pulled over to the side and my car is shaking pretty bad. I usually shift around 8k. I know my car vibrates a little bit cause of the hasport mounts that i have. I know its not normal but now i drive around and when it reaches 7k it slips and hits almost 9k. I was like wtf?! I have a hard time shifting into gears now. It feels like im rubbing against something when i shift. What would cause this to happen to my clutch? Is it the tranny thats cause the problem too? This is my first time using a 6 puck.

i drove 400 miles in the city like how i did my other clutches in my past cars. isnt that the correct way to break in a clutch?

Any hard pulls? Hard shifts? Generally, 500 miles is suggested break in period with no hard strain on the clutch. 400 should be adequate time for the compound to mesh with the flywheel. As long as it was easy on the clutch, then you're doing the right break in procedure.
I'm thinking something is up with the clutch disc, the way it was installed, the throwout bearing getting stuck on the input shaft, or maybe even a loose flywheel or pressure plate bolt.

i kept my RPM's under 4500. A person told me that there is no break in period for puck clutches is that true? I think its my fidanza aluminum flywheel. Everything was installed correctly and tighten good.

No, not true. Regardless of disc type, the friction materials of the disc need to acquaint themselves with the flywheel surface. Once thats done, the disc is able to grab the flywheel throughout the powerband or rpm range.
