Default cluster problems!! help!!

ok i recently threw in a single cam into mah eg hatch to use as a daily now i started up the car and the cluster was working perfectly i turn off the car and when i go back to start it back up the rpm, speedo and fuel/temp gauges didnt work at all. Another thing i noticed was that it wasnt reading the CEL when u first turn the ignition on. It only reads the battery and SRS. I've checked the fuses under the hood and dash, they're all good. I checked the speed sensor and it was good. I also swap out the cluster and tried another one and it didnt work either. I even switched the ecu to see if it couldve been that and it wasnt!! im goin crazy trying to figure this out ive been at it for days now and im stuck! Can ANYONE help me out?!??! Like i said i use this as a daily and im always traveling do to my job so i need to know my fuel level and temp on the car!! HELP PLEASE!!!

Could it be a faulty ECM. Its in the dash under the steering wheel. I believe this is the control module for the electrical. are the relays clicking when you turn the switch to the on postion???
