Default Knocking sound!

i drive a 96 lx accord and there's this knocking sound each time i step on the pedal. sometimes it sounds like its coming from the transmission area or around that area because its coming from a lower area of the car, but im not sure what it is...any idea??? this clicking noise occurs when i step on the pedal and its just about to shift gears..but does not happen when im going fast or at least i cant hear it, only in low speeds.... i've tried searching, but nothing else seems to come close...

check your valves, your belt might have jumped a few teeth and you might need a valve adjustment
