Default Click Here and help me Plz

Got a friends car. 2000 civic with gsr swap. its been in for a while. the car started in the morning when i went outside to start it. then let it warm up and turned cluster lights and headlights on car boged down and shut off. went to start car nothing. just clicked. fuel pump runs everything seems fine. just wont turn over. hook battery charger up and give it a done of volts turn car over it starts. but doesnt run good. without batt charger it wont start. all grounds are good. all fuses are good.. i didnt try a new relay yet. could that be. or what other kinds of wiring problems have any of you guys had before. ? i'm stumped. car worked perfect then just started doing this..?

test the voltage @ the battery with the car off, should be ABOUT 11.5-12.5. if it's lower than that replace the battery.
test the voltage @ the battery with the car on, should be ABOUT 13-14 volts. of it's lower or much higher replace the alternator and the battery.

Also the tach stops working to after like 20 seconds of running. car will start everytime battery charger is hooked up giving it alot of volts but car is missing and sputtering when turning the lights and cluster lights on? then gets to a point were it just shuts off and wont start again unless batt charger is hooked up

ok so i figured out that when i keep the battery charger hooked up and on the car will stay running. as soon as i turn battery charger off the car shuts off. why is it not getting enough voltage. other than the battery being bad and the alternator being bad. is there any other symptoms before i got changing them 2 things.

I don't know about your area but here in florida advanced auto parts will test your battery and (some) also have a machine to test the alternator, so if you want to test em before you swap em could help narrow down your options.
