Default Cleaning EF

all right I came up on this chasis 91 EF. It has no carpet but it does have this black layer, almost like f**k if I know tar or some crap. Anywho its pretty stuck to the floor what the best way i can remove it? I tried scraping it only works in certain spots and other spots is are really stuck. I even tried heat gun but that will take forever . thanks in advance.

go buy some dry ice at a store break it into small pieces lay across the areas where the sound deadening material(tar) is and wait a few minutes for it to dry it up and use a hammer and chisel to remove makes it much easier.

yes indeed... makes it really easy. i bought a block of it, and broke it into big peices, waited 10 min, chiselled right off, moved ice to next location waited... a very effective way indeed
