Has any had experience using Mopar Combustion Chamber Conditioner to remove the carbon deposits off the valves and piston tops?

How well does it work? Adverse affects? Cost?

 

..just take a some automatic transmission fluid, fill a shallow bowl w/ it, unplug a vaccum line on your intake manifold and let a little go in, slowly. Yes, while the motor is running. It will smoke, a lot, so make sure your in a well ventilated place! But, it will clean out those deposits, it's an old time hot-rod trick.
Dont trust me, ask around on some other forums, like v8 forums!

I have tried a Chevy Top End Engine Cleaner, Just pour it down the intake, spin the motor over manually a few times to get the fluid into the piston chambers, let it soak for a few hours..... and yeah, This way is gonna make a whole lotta smoke as well!

 

Some hot-rod guys in my town do it more than often, pisses a lot of people off. Fire trucks run all over the place, but no fire...

 

Yep, the good old GM top engine cleaner does it.

 

Speaking of GM top engine cleaner, using the spray can GM Top engine cleaner is an easy way to not hydrolock the motor

 

Is that something good to do with a high mileage car? I have 136,000 on my 94 Teg.

 

You may want to try AMSOIL Power Foam. Just spray it directly into the throttle body. Full instructions are on the can. I've done this several times on my 89 Accord LXi and the return in performance was pretty amazing.

 

I've got 2 15oz cans of GM Top Engine Cleaner ($10 ea at my local Chevrolet dealer). Where's a good place to slowly pour this stuff in so that it gets evenly distributed through all 4 cylinders?

To clean the carbon deposits off the tops of the pistons, I'm also considering pouring this stuff through the spark plug holes, letting it sit for 7 hours, then sucking it out with a suction gun (to prevent hydrolock). Any reason not to do this?
