Default Cleaning Cam Bearings

i'm building up a head and the cam bearings have some scoring on them, i red on another thred that you could use a Scoch Brite pad to clean up crank bearings but can i do this to cam bearings also? Thanks in advance

You dont have cam bearings, they are cam journals. no bearing in there
Most cam jounals that i have seen have a little scoring on them and should be ok.

plastigauge.

sorry no digi cam, ok cam journals, the scoring isn't that bad, i was just wondering if it could mess up my cam ever

scotch brite would be just to clean them up, it wount take the scratches away.
no your cam shuldnt get messed up, the journal would go first since the material is softer than the steel the cams are made out of
