Default claying the motor for clearance.

i have been reading up on valve clearance for my motor since il be putting it togehter soon.. i talked with sGt and he told me it needed to be done. ive read lots of post in the searches and they were pretty good. im guessing a good clearance is .060"OR intake 0.18mm exhaust 0.20mm. those were a couple i found in the search.

im kind of getting the idea of how to do it. my Q is where i can pick up some "clay" from and also i need a little more help about switching the rockers.. i think you switch the 2 outer ones. i read it in the search. i will be posting up more as i come closer to the claying.. BTW i read the c-speedracing article. i learned a lot.

thanx guys... and gals

Do you have use a new head gasket after you clay the motor, or can you reuse the one that you clayed with?

You swap the long middle one with the shorter side one. One of the side ones is a spring plunger and cannot be removed(push on both and you will see which is the spring one) You want the non sprung one, I used a magnet to get it out. Now put the longer one from the middle rocker in the end one, and the end one in the midle rocker. You will see how it locks that rocker to the vtec one now.

Your not swaping the rocker by the way, just the slide pins insde the rockers.
