i just put in some new coils from H&R(race)...i get a "clanking" noise when i hit bumps...i believe its coming from the coils making contact with each other as they compress...

i remember seeing rubber sheaths around the upper coils of my buddies older H&R springs but mine do not have them...was i suppose to get then with the springs or are they something i would have to purchase on my own?...

My makes the same type of clunking noise. I have no clue what it is. Mine started after I removed my stock stuff and put it back in. It even still does it with my tokico\skunk2's. I think its just something not adjusted right like the stabilizer bar or something. I have everything torqued correctly and everything. This has been bugging the **** out of me for about 2 weeks now. I'm probably going to bring it to the stealership or something.

 

are you sure ur clunking noise isnt from the sleeves of the skunk2 adj...my gcs also made that cuz the sleeves were not snug with the shock...

i get a sound high pitch sound...the sound just like u would here from the dropping a coil on the ground...thats why im so sure its the coils coming together...and i believe i read in the H&R instructions that some of the coils are suppose to touch
