CKP sensor, oops, forgot to put it in.
Okay, a buddy of mine, has a 99 Si. LIke many Si's today, this car has been raped to hell and back.
The original short block and head are gone, and he bought a obd1 longblock from Hmotorsonline.
He did not however, think about the crank position sensor until after it was all installed and pretty much the goal now is to sell the car.
I am curious, can you splice the wires from the crank position sensor in the dist and run them to the plug from the CKP sensor.
I know they do different things, at least i think so, well crud, can't make up my mind on this one.
I guess i could try, but i would hate folr the ecu to get toasted over something so stupid.

I believe you are really referring to the CKF, or Crankshaft Fluctuation Sensor, which is located down by the oil pump, correct?
But no, you can not splice into the CKP (which is inside the dizzy) for the CKF signal.
You need a 99 Si oil pump.
