CKF Sensor CEL Code??
the check engine light is bugging me for the past week, did a reset already and came back on after a few weeks. So started searching the net and found a way to check the CEL code and got this code 54 CKF Sensor (Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor. Light came on 3 or more days after I did an oil change. Can anyone fill me in here on how to fix this? car is 97 hatch thx
thanks for the link, just found a manual for the civic and found out that CKF wiring was not placed backed into its locking place after my friend did the timing belt and yeah like the last guy who replied in that thread, the alternator belt started to strip the wirings but it did not cut the whole wires yet but its hard to see the whole damage. So I just snuggled it back to its place and resetting the CEL code right now and hoping the wires are still good. How many wires are in there anyway? I'll try to cover it with an electrical tape for now...
