what internals are you talking about? pistons? crank? narrow it down alittle. honda-tech classifieds can be a good start.

i have a b16a2, and i planned on replacing all the internals with ctr interals.

could i put itr internals in it or would that be to much trouble?

by internals i mean everything

yes.

here are the differences between your internals (bottom end) and the Type-R Civic:
the rods are made of a higher-grade alloy of steel (more Cr content)
the pistons have greater dome volume for higher compression
the piston skirts have an anti-friction coating
(top end):
ported head with blended bowls and other small improvements
larger cams
high flow intake and exhaust manifolds
larger throttle body

and of course, the computer. now, you could just as well forget the rods, buy CTR cams for $400, upgraded valve springs for another $200 and either get CTR pistons for like $300 or get aftermarket pistons for $500. then all you need is a little head work from a reputable cylinder head company (and get the intake manifold and t/b done as well) or get an ITR cylinder head (same as CTR) and you're done. now you have a CTR motor, more or less, but it needs tuning. while you're at it, forget CTR cams and get skunk2 stage 2's or something. now it's better than CTR. get it tuned and it'll be hella fast, just a ***** going up hills.

ITR internals wouldn't fit. the crank and rods wouldn't fit at all. the pistons would come way out of the block and it wouldn't even crank over w/o breaking almost all the parts.

there is actually only one mayor reason why you can NOT use PCT internals on your b-16 wich is deck height
the block on your b-16 is shorter than the PCT. pistons would stick out of the block.

You can use ctr pistons on your b-16 with minimal mods though; they would yield lots more compression than on the civic type ARRR.

umm, if you're spending all that on internals, why the hell wouldn't you get a nice intake like a Comptech IceBox or DIY clone of said intake? at least get a nice filter like Comptech or Spoon. or second tier like K&N or Apex'i.
