Default Civic Cold Intake

I just installed a AEM short ram intake to my D16y7 with an Automatic Transmission. I was told this will gain HP but sometimes it feels like it looses power, like if the intake doesn't have pressure. Is this normal? Is there something I need to adjust to fix this?

Intakes don't provide that much power......and are pretty damn hard to install wrong. actually I don't think you can.

So what do you guys recommend? I'm also thinking of installing a header. You think this will improve?
Thanks

I'm suprised you don't feel the slightest difference, there really is no way to screw up a intake install. Do you atleast hear a roar coming from your motor now?

When I'm running about 30 mph and I try to down shift the auto trans to pass a car. That's when it has no power. I have to depress the pedal a lot in order to down shift. It also makes a deep goar sound. It wasn't doing this when I had it stock. A friend told me I had to adjust something in the throttle. Is this right?

Why do I have to reset the ECU?

Thanks for your replies.

its probably performing the same, it just seems slower from the noise, something about that noise that makes it seem slower, the roaring noise is normal, just make sure the clamps are tight, and everything is on properly, especially the intake air temp. sensor. dont adjust anything on the throttle, hope this helps
