I have a 1988 crx. My cigarette lighter isn't generating power. Please help!

 

Have you checked the fuse? 94

 

Yea the fuse is fine

 

You will have to pull the lighter and test the wiring going to it, it may just be a burnt out lighter element. 94

 

I'd be willing to bet it was the lighter element, but plug you phone or ipod into it to check to see if it's getting power, then you'll know if it's the element or not.

Plugging something into a lighter socket that is not working will tell you nothing other then it is not working, not why it is not working. 94

 

What is the lighter element? sorry I'm new to this.

 

The part that light up. As in, get's power.

 

take the cover off where your cig light is on the car and see if its pluged in....when I bought my car i had the same problem. got pissed and started taking **** apart lol your cig light has a plug it's in the dash where the cig light is take it off and see if it plug in...

need some help and ideas on how to fix my 93 Honda Accord cigarette lighter/dome light does not work.

is there a separate fuse for the cigarette lighter and another one for the radio?

or there 3 separate fuses, 1-radio, 2-cigarette lighter, 3-dome light?

i am unable to use my GPS or charge my phone, etc

Is is a fuse problem, and where can I find it? and how do I fix the problem if it is not the fuse.

Sometimes I've seen cars I've bought where the PO simply disconnected the wire from the connector for the cigarette lighter.
