Icon2 CHROME PARTS!!!

Alright so while eyeballing my throttle body today I thought 'how cool would it be if the entire intake manifold, runners, and throttle body were CHROME?' And if I also got a nice chrome header. I also thought that an even better added bonus would be to chrome the valve cover as well, but I don't wanna do that. Anyway, what are some suggestions for good chrome headers? And does anybody know anything about intake manifolds? Would it be possible/a good idea to chrome the intake manifold? Thanks!

The question would actually be if you could afford to chrome out your engine bay.

The money spent on "bling" could easily buy you more "functional" parts.

No I can't afford it, but I was just wondering if it were possible.

That's why I was asking if there was a good header that comes prechromed. Or an intake manifold that comes prechromed

chroming is stupid. polishing is a better idea and you can do it yourself with sandpaper.

haha, while you're at it... do inside and out!

crazyhouse, yes. just like any other aluminum peice you can polish the manifold, the valve cover the brake master cylinder, the oil pump, the A/C compressor bracket... to your heart's content. i recommend picking up some spares from the junk yard or something to practice on. this way you can work on tecnique, get an idea of the time and effort involved and give up completely if you get half way in and decide it's not worth it.

i think chrome looks clean but its imposibru to have it on a daily driver it will not stay clean and its hard to clean and keep spotless.

some people think crome is stupid but i rather look at chromed out engine bays at a show and look at functional engine bays at racetrack..

2 different worlds. apples to oranges.

anything can be chromed/ gold plated even plastic. they can probably chromeplate a marshmallow with todays tech.

but i wouldnt personally spend money on it unless my tires never lay rubber on city road only trailer and show.
