chrome engine parts
I am wanting to buy some chrome engine parts for my honda but I haven't because some one told me that the heat from the motor would peel the chrome off. Is this true or not? Or would I be better off just getting stainless steel? I do drive my car daily so that is why I am wanting to know about his. The parts that I am talking about are exhaust headers and valve covers
there are company that sells those parts chromed the valve cover will be fine the exhaust will turn colors but thats normal with any chrome exhaust ask any one who rides bikes with chrome pipes they will tell ya
I think the change in color looks cool but if you don't want the color go with ceramic! Chrome peels off when it had been applied to an old serface.... If applied to a new product it wont....
stainless will be fine like Hspec said ceramic will work they can do a ceramachrome that polishes out good i used to do some side work sand blasting for a company that did ceramic coating and its very durable too except dragging i have a set of headers that can atest to that from my old d16z6
