Default chipped p28 question

well jus got my p28 chipped, the guy said its skunk 2 settings 4800 vtec-X and 9200 rev limit, evrything is diabled governer and o2 sensor. well i opend it up and there was black tape on the chip.... i lifted up the tape and their was a chip obviously but the chip had see through circle in the middle or something..i dunno wut the hell it is any1 have this before? im thinkin it might be one of those cheap *** chips from taiwan or something. but any way i was driving and i decided to test it out, well when i did hit vtec it felt good but soon after the CEL light came on... but it still could rev past 8500 and vtec engaged? any ideas?

the window means you have a cheaper chip, UV eraseable but it will work fine.

CEL - which CEL are you throwing? you did pull it right?

BTW a "skunk2" chip is about as worthwhile as anything you could create yourself with a $55 investment.

its code 10 IAT intake air temperature sensor
do i have to be worried? isnt thtat the sensor on the intake?

IAT sensor is usually the code that pops up when you have the IAT and EVAP purge switched. This pops the IAT sensor and blows up Q31 in the ECU.
that is unless you have the IAT removed or misswired.

without the IAT the car will never run right... but it will run.

well lets start simple. how long has the swap been in the car? who did your swap?
have you checked your IAT sensor to make sure the plug just didnt come off? (it's on the intake manifold like you mentioned)
