Default Chipped P28 ECU-Solid Cel

I recently chipped my ecu, with the guide from Keebler65's Uberdata page. Now that I am complete I burned a p28 basemap and got the ecu into the car this weekend. The ecu has a datalogging port added to it, the same as described on Keebler65's page.

I plugged in the ecu into my 98 civic lx w/d16y8 and now I get a cel. Before this I had my obd2-1 harness spliced for my apexi VAFC. I have since removed the VAFC and repaired the splices with soldered joints. I double checked all my connections and all wires seem to be correct (I didn't **** that up I think).

When I plugged in the ecu, I get a constant cel. Not quite sure why. I cut the jumper located at J1, and still, constant cel.

Anyone have any ideas why?

You mentioned adding the datalogging port to the ECU...was that done correctly? Cutting the J1 will more than often cure an issue related to chipping or a bad chip, but since that didnt work you might want to check the port you added. Take the datalogging port out and plug the whole ECU in....if that throws a solid CEL then the ECU is fried

Not what I wanted to hear, but it could be a problem. Especially since the stock chip is not looking for that port at all.

Thanks for the idea!
