Chipped ecu and hondata

Chipped ecu and hondata
Hey guys I am looking to do a hondata s300 ecu. I wanted to know if its ok to start off with a chipped p28 ecu? Or do I need to have a virgin ecu? ps search is down I would not have asked otherwise.
