Chipped ecu....
I have 92 cx wif 2000 b16a, and have a chipped p28, I was told it has the mugen program - Vtec 4700 and rev limit at 9000. My problem is I am installing a 75 shot ZEX dry kit in this car and was told that the chip will not work right due to the advanced timing it provides. I tried to contact the guy i bought it from and all i got was that i need to run the skunk2 chip and retard timing more then usual.
anyone have info on what i need? and anyone have a chip that will work for this? I have no info on the chip that i have other then it adds fuel, advances timing and vtec at 4700 and rev limit at 9000. Thats all i know. help?

i would get a stock program, maybe with better fueling, but stock timming.
contact whoever you got it from and get a stock chip.there is a whole bunch of people on the board that make chips.

yea i was told that once. I was told get a chip that does not advance timing.
I don't like my 4700 vtec and I definatly don't like my 9000 rev limit which i never go to but have a few times during tire spin.
Anyone out there with a chip that will work hook me up. I would like 5000 vtec and 8200 rev limit, no timing advance, and be able to run the 92 cx b16a wif 75 shot safely.

I suggest adding Hondata to your setup. You'll solve your chip problem at the same time, then get it tuned with the juice in action. That'll be the safest way to run the giggle gas regular like. Remember to go with a colder plug and try smaller plug gaps.
