Chip tuning with Crome, Solid CEL
Hello,
I have a Civic Minime swapped that was done last winter and everything is working nice, I have P28 chipped and if I tune the chip with ectune it works just nice, the problem is I want to use Crome to tune the ECU so I can use Hondash bluetooth scanner, ECTune doesn't support Hondash scanner...
When I try to tune with Crome program, I use the basemap for D16Z USDM that comes with Crome. I remove checksum routine and burn the tune to a chip but when I start the car, I get a solid CEL and the codes are Barometric pressure sensor and fuel injection system. The car is also in limp mode (revs only to 4000rpm).
I'm writing here because I read all the other forum posts about this issue: I use 8000 HEX when burning, I erase the chip and burn it, tried multiple chips... nothing works. I guess the basemap is wrong because it is for USDM D16Z6, and I have a EDM P28 G02? I don't know anymore, please help...
