i have heard that if u chipped it at the wrong position, it will cause the cel light to be and it wont function correctly.

hopefully this will help you. i see this one is a Manual p28 and it has a R52 resistor. maybe the one without the resistor is a Auto ECU.

look right in between the red circle and the purple/yellow box the R52 resistor is right there.

strange, the only res i see in that area is the one in R49, the one below it, R52, seems empty to me... here look at this pic:
see the R52 spot empty and the res above it is in R49? isnt it the same as the other pic?

ok cool. you think the year has anything to do with it? the one with the res in R52 is from a 92SI, the one without the res in R52 is from a 94EX. any ideas?

the year shouldnt have any thing to do with it. since they were for the exact same motor and no changes were made through that time span. my only explanation is its been tampered with or its a automatic ecu.

Since where on the subject of chipping and everything. To chip a ecu do you need a special soldering and desoldering gun or could you use a everyday normal one like the one you could get from Radio Shake?

i got a problem like this also...if the cel blinks its a bad burn, but if its solid its a bad connection on a solder i suggest you desolder the zif socket and redo it
