Default checking tranny fuild

I know this might be a stupid question, but i was looking to find out how i can check the tranny fuild level and also the quaility of it,, the tranny is from a 99 civic si. thankyou

There is a fill plug on the passenger side of the tranny. You can see it if you look from the engine bay down, right underneath the intake. It's a 17mm plug, pull it out and stick your pinky in there to check it.
