Default Check Engine Light B16a Please Help!

My problem is that when ever I put my car in reverse, the check engine light comes on and my car wants to stall. I can put it back into reverse and it will go off. The code i'm getting is for the engine coolant temp. sensor, but I've already replaced it. Any suggestions
