Yesterday my check engine light came on while I was driving. I've had my car for 4 years and this has never happened, and I thought I smelled somthing. So I pulled over, turned my car off, and then back on, and the check engine light did NOT come on and has not since.

What gives? If there really was a problem would it just stay on?

 

what model and years of car , this will happen sometimes due to crappy gas

 

95 integra....current gas is 93 from Exxon

 

well i guess i would say if the light doesnt come back then ... great...if it does you need to check the # of flashes it gives you after you jump the mil plug

 

The check engine light came on again on Saturday night! and there was a gasoline smell when it came on. This is the 2nd time this has happened.

I turned the car off twice and the second time, the light finally went off and has been off every since.

I recently put my stock exhaust back on my car, so the only thing I can think of is something wasn't done right...

 

so..whats the code?
