Default cheap suspension?

I just wanted to know if there is any performance differences when comparing name brand(uhh..Nuespeed) and cheap(hmm...Matrix) products. Take a strut tower brace for example. I've seen ones for $50, and another for $200. Can the latter be so much better than the other? Thanks.

They're mostly the same in effectiveness. One issue is fitment; some fit better than others. Adjustability is another factor that affects cost.

Also, in determining price, materials matters...steel pipe is gonna be cheap/flexible, solid steel will be heavy, billet aluminum is light, strong, looks great, and is expensive.
