Default Charging System Light aka Battery Light

1998 Honda Civic EX D16Y8 Stock 87,XXX miles 5SPD 87 Octane

Since last Sunday, November 16, 2003, I've noticed my Charging System Light coming on and off occasionally. I went to Autozone to have them check my battery and alternator, they said they were fine. I then went to Advanced Auto Parts for a second opinion, and they said my alternator and battery were fine.

I have also noticed that the light comes on when the car is cold or semi-cold (not completely warmed up yet). Hopefully you all can imagine this; when the car is at idle, 200rpm, the light is at full illumination. When I rev the engine slowly, the light starts to fade away and stays off when I'm driving normally (street or highway). Any suggestions?

Besides my battery light problem, can anyone shed some light as to why I idle so low? When I'm sitting at a light, I idle so low the car shakes and seems like it wants to die...Any suggestions??

TIA

Try replacing your grounding wires. I reccomend tinned-copper from like a boat stoe or something, cause it doesn't wick in water lick copper does.

We had this problem on a 91 CRX, but the ECU was intermittantly bad, is SEEMED to fix the problem.
