Default changing the radio in a toyota

I know that this is a little out of place but dose any one know a good website where I could find a Toyota dash diagram? I'm trying to replace a sterio in a 98 toyota pickup truck and I need to figure out how to get the portion of the dash that is around the radio off. any suggestion thanks

i dont know any good sites, but youve got to take off the whole under-dash on toyota trucks. start with the 2 10mm bolts on either side underneath near the doors, unscrew 2 screws under glove compartment (GC), open GC and unscrew 2 screws inside top, go to drv. side, unscrew 2 screws on either side of the steering column, then, on the bottom of the center console on the sides, there are 2 little plastic clips, push in the centers of them and pop them out, then i believe theres 2 screws on the center of the center console, and the hardest part- you have to take off the climate control plate. pop off the ***** and ac switch carefully, and pop the panel off. then the whole under-dash assembly should come off. then theres 4 bolts around the tape player/cd bracket, remove those, being careful not to strip them ( im doing this from memory, but i think they have phillips heads, but they are really tight, so use a 8mm socket, not a screwdriver). un-do the antenna plug and the wiring harness and unscrew the factory cassette player from the assembly. screw in the new one, and reassemble in opposite order. i hope this helps, i installed professionally for awhile and did many, many toyota trucks. they were always a bitch cause they take so long, but you get it down to a science. also- remember to solder all your connections, and use 3M super 33+ electrical tape- its the best tape youll ever use. good luck and IM me if youve got any ?s.

What kind of Toyota truck is it. I am a tech for a dealer. If it has a hand brake then that piece has to come out first. It is held in place by clips, so pull on it till the panel pops off. The piece around the radio is also held in place by the same type of clips that held the other piece. It too should also pop off. The radio is held in place by four philips screws. Save the brackets that are on the radio, they will mount to the new head unit, no dash kit is required
