make sure there are in "THEIR" good, huh, nismofo? don't you mean "THERE"? I'd rather not know much about engine and be willing to learn instead of being ILLITERATE.

i wouldnt reccomend using an impact gun to put them in.... they need to be torqued down to a certian point... the other thing is that they are really hot when the car has been running

you can change them while the engine is warm........just make sure you use a proper torque wrench to torque them down to proper spec. (13ft/lbs i belive)

the aluminium threads in the head get soft when it's hot so you have to be carful with them.

I wouldn't change them while they're hot because heat expansion and torque specs go hand in hand. but if you must make sure to use some high temp anti-seize.

I voted "wait till its cool". However, I typically just wait until I can keep my hand on top of the valve cover for it to be 'cool'.

What do people do at a race? If they remove them, do they wait till things are cool....I'd be inclined to say no. But I'm sure they don't torque them back to factory spec while its still hot either.

stupid to do while hot
alum has a very low melting point, its much softer when its warm, much easier to strip.
do what u wish tho
