Default changing gear sets

I have a 92 ys1 tranny that has ls gear's. I would like to change that out for a 94 gsr's gear's. My question is this is the first time I have every did tranny work would anyone recommend this for a rookie? I have manuals for both vehicles and I have searched and found good info on it, but I'm not trying to mess up two trannies. Can anybody give me some input on this.

If I take it to the shop to have it down what do you guys think a fair price for the labor would be?

Thanks

Default Re: changing gear sets (onemore)

i wouldnt recomend it..its a very tedious job and everything has to be perfect..if you feel confident than go for it but most likely you'll open it and say screw it....the cost depends but usual around 1500
